A cel animation for my mom, a hero in the sense that she survived some hard times. A flood destroyed her home and the thrift store that she owned so she had to live homeless in a van for a time. I admire her for how she's able to get through hard times while still thinking of others. At her thrift shop, she had a small community garden out back and some chickens. She also took in a stray kitten after building his trust, he would not go near anyone else. Though she didn't have a lot herself, she kept a food bank and would give to the needy as well as baked bread that she would give away to the homeless in her area when they came into the shop. I went with a grungey and hand-drawn style because it matched her lifestyle and who she is.
